A NATALE PUOI

Roberta Bonanno, was born in Milan in 1985. She is an Italian pop singer and talent show contestant, who became known to TV audiences as a contestant in the 2007-2008 season of the extremely popular talent show Amici, formerly known as Saranno Famosi.

One of the most visible members of the cast, she eventually ended up second, losing the final to favorite Marco Carta. Still, Bonanno attracted considerable attention with the single 'A Natale Puoi' released in 2010. She actually records with the Rusty Independent. Among her tops  and  'It's Oh So Quiet','Sorelle d'Italia' and 'Matematico'. Her last song is 'Devi Dirmi Di Si'.

Petit garçon

For this year, our Christmas carol is Petit garçon of Graeme Allwrigth.
It is about a young boy who is waiting for Santa Claus on the Christmas eve. It is originally an American song from Roger Miller called Old toy trains (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-I2KeRtvJ-A).
Graeme Allwright is a singer and a songwriter who has made his career in French but he actually comes from New-Zealand.
During the Seventies, he was known as a protest singer and he introduced folk music in France, especially Leonard Cohen. He has even tried to promote a new version of the Marseillaise because he finds the lyrics too warlike and hostile (http://mga.asso.fr/).
